A brief history
Otherway Music is a record label, music production and artist management company.
Founded by acclaimed musician, producer and songwriter Matt Goodman in 2007, initially In response to an increasing demand for his musical expertise in songwriting and production. In addition to this, the label became an outlet for his own critically praised solo project, Matti Roots.
In 2010, Otherway expanded its team to include two young, super talented and creative producer, songwriter and artists Matthew Bento and Rhys McCaffety, aka Foodoo.
Fast forward to the current day and Otherway Music has written and produced music for major label artists such as Dua Lipa, Yxng Bane, Sampha, Justin Timberlake, Wiley, Bluey Robinson and Steflon Don, as well as creating music for major global brands including Samsung, Fifa, Ray Ban, Lego, Mazda and Adobe.
Otherway’s music has been placed on hit tv shows such as ‘Brooklyn 99’, ‘Power’ (Netflix), ‘Made In Chelsea’, ‘First Dates’, ‘Too Hot To Handle’ (Netflix) and ‘Hell On The Border’ (Lionsgate)
Since its creation, the Otherway team have been involved in the creation and development of a wide range of musical projects and have collectively amassed tens of millions of streams commercially.
Our creators are constantly making new music and always on the hunt for new and inspiring projects.
How we work
Otherway Music’s composers and producers work individually as well as collaboratively as a team. We draw from diverse backgrounds musically and academically. This allows for our unique expertise across a wide range of musical influences and interests, to filter through into the music we make.
This musical cohesion allows Otherway Music to transform an artist’s, label’s or brand’s vision into superbly crafted music. Always relevant, always unique, and always blended with the ‘otherway’ musical touch.
Our shared passion and team based approach means we can work together to create a range of tracks in various styles, resulting in the perfect musical setting for any situation imaginable that requires a sonic bed.
Our services comprise production and mixing, multi instrumentalism (yes that’s a word!), vocal production, singing, rapping, lyrics and top line melody writing.
We also have access to a freelance roster of some of London’s best artists, producers, musicians and composers to cover all bases. Directed by Matt Goodman, we are able to cater for almost any scenario, responding to briefs with extraordinary speed, offering a quality selection of ideas that provide exactly what is needed. We then work with you to explore and develop ideas together .
Due to our prolific output, we have a catalogue containing hundreds of quality songs and instrumentals of all genres, which can be used as is, or modified to your requirements if needed (instrumentals, cut-downs etc).
